(Shelby, NC) – Dr. Susan Cernyak Spatz, a UNC Professor Emeritus, Auschwitz survivor, author and expert on the Holocaust will speak on Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mildred H. Keeter Auditorium on the campus of Cleveland Community College. This is a life-changing and rare opportunity. She will give her eye-witness testimony to the atrocities of the Nazi regime. She was a prisoner at Auschwitz Concentration camp for two years, the largest Nazi killing center. Over one million human beings were murdered at Auschwitz by the Nazis and their collaborators. Dr. Spatz brings shocking reality to what the Nazi’s did at Auschwitz as she shares her testimony of dehumanization and the terror she experienced at this Nazi death camp during World War II.
