(Shelby, NC) – Cleveland Community College recently inducted 117 students into the National Society of Leadership and Success. The ceremony was held on April 30, in the Student Activities Center. Nine students were also the recipients of the National Engaged Leader Award during the induction ceremony.
Vice president of Academic Programs, Becky Sain, welcomed students and guests and student, Anna Marie Vagnozzi, served as keynote speaker. Student Development Coordinator, LeeAnn Lawson, presented the awards and president, Dr. L. Steve Thornburg gave the closing remarks.
The National Engaged Leader certificate is awarded to members of the National Leadership and Success Society who have completed orientation, a leadership training day, six speaker broadcasts, six networking team meetings, and at least five hours of community service.
The National Society of Leadership and Success is an organization that helps people discover and achieve their goals. The Society offers life-changing lectures from the nation’s leading presenters and a community where like-minded success oriented individuals come together and help one another succeed. The Society also serves as a powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world.
