(Shelby, NC) – The eighty-fourth class of the Cleveland Community College Practical Nursing program held its pinning ceremony on Thursday, July 26, in the Student Activities Center on the CCC campus. Twelve nursing students were recognized during the ceremony for their achievements.
Executive Vice President, Instruction and Student Development, Shannon Kennedy, welcomed family and friends and Adjunct Nursing Instructor, Amy Hamilton, served as ceremony speaker. Presentation of pins was made by Discipline Coordinator, Practical Nursing, Sharon Hamrick-RN, MSN and Practical Nursing Instructor, Anne Wise-RN, MSN.
Students in the practical nursing program endure a rigorous and challenging schedule to complete the one-year program. Upon graduation, students are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination which is required for practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
